From the beginnings in Florida to global recognition

The beginning of an era

1979 marked the beginning of a new era in the world of hypnosis. Gerald F. Kein founded the OMNI Hypnosis Training Center in Florida, unaware of the profound impact his work would have worldwide. OMNI, a name suggested by Gerald Kein's wife, quickly became synonymous with progress and efficiency in hypnotherapy.

The OMNI philosophy

At OMNI, everything revolves around modern, goal- and result-oriented hypnotherapy that focuses on the unique needs of the client. Gerald Kein has always pursued the goal of establishing hypnosis and hypnotherapy as an easy-to-learn and effective method. The focus is on short, targeted sessions with concrete results - a revolution in hypnotherapy.

"Taking on the legacy of such an eminent and outstanding master was a dream come true for me - a dream achieved through hard work. For almost three years, from August 2012 to January 2015, Jerry prepared me to take over the leadership of OMNI. It was typical of Jerry to seal our agreement with a handshake and then announce the handover at the Hypnosis Congress in Boston in August 2012 - all without a signature or formal contract. However, it would not have been appropriate to simply follow in Jerry's footsteps. In order to maintain authenticity and bring his own personality to both the company and the training programs, Hansruedi Wipf has set his own course to lead OMNI into the future. The successful ISO 9001 certification and the HypnoScience® project are just two examples of many that characterize this path.

Adrian Brüngger and the OMNI team: united by passion and expertise in hypnosis

Adrian Brüngger has been part of our team as co-owner and CEO of Hypnose.NET GmbH & OMNI Hypnosis International since 2013. His expertise as a coach and trainer, coupled with his experience as former head coach of Pfadi Winterthur Handball, makes him a sought-after consultant in the areas of leadership and team building. Adrian has worked with top athletes such as track and field star Simon Ehammer, renowned wrestler Samuel Giger and snowboard cross world cup winner Kalle Koblet.

Over time, the worldwide OMNI instructor team has formed. United in their shared passion for hypnosis and enthusiasm for teaching and therapy. All instructors have completed both the OMNI hypnotherapy training and the special OMNI instructor training and actively use the techniques and methods they have learned in their therapeutic work.

Scientific confirmation and breakthroughs:

In 2023, independent scientists published the results of a study conducted at the University of Zurich and approved by the Ethics Committee of the Canton of Zurich (BASEC No. 2018-00550). The results were published on December 19, 2023 in the journal Frontiers in Human Neuroscience and can be read here . This study shows that hypnosis is visible and measurable in the brain and establishes that at least two distinct hypnotic states exist - a significant advance in the understanding of hypnosis. The OMNI hypnosis inductions, based on the methods of Dave Elman and Gerald Kein, were scientifically validated in this study.

Innovative findings:

The study reveals fascinating parallels between states of hypnosis and states under propofol anesthesia as well as LSD experiences. These discoveries offer new perspectives for application and research in hypnotherapy and reinforce the scientific basis of our methods.
